Prototyping

The prototyping stage of the production process gives our customers opportunity to try different manufacturing options and processing methods to ensure that the part for their clinical device is producible. 

Biomerics has the in-house capabilities to test each of our customer's medical device designs, make revisions and explore creative innovations that could make them even better than imagined.

Biomerics’ advanced equipment and flexible production processes allow us to provide rapid extrusion of thermoplastics products. Low volumes of final-form prototypes help our customers with characterization, evaluation and iteration during their new product development.  In our prototyping step, we use the same materials and GMP traceability standards specified for full production.  We also work quickly, reducing turnaround time, and accelerating each customer's time to market.  Biomerics supports all our customers' product needs, from fast-turn short runs to large full-scale production.

Proprietary Prototype Tooling

We build most of our pin-and-die sets in-house to provide quick turnaround on all extrusion prototypes. For each individual customer need, we evaluate the program requirements, costs, and timelines allowing manufacturing options from the use of custom insert plates along with standard base and top plates through full-hardened steel tooling to achieve the prototyping goal.
