Quadraplast™ Rigid AR
The Quadraplast™ family of aromatic rigid thermoplastic polyurethanes are designed for rigid biostable applications such as connectors, catheter bifurcations, fittings, luers, and hubs. Quadraplast offers a unique combination of toughness, dimensional stability, biocompatiblity, and chemical resistance. Quadraplast is typically used to replace nylon and polycarbonate based engineered plastics where coloring or stress cracking may be an issue.
Quadraplast is available in clear (AR100) and impact-modified opaque grades (AR300). The material is typically injection molded, but maybe extruded and thermoformed. Quadraplast™ can be easily bonded to Quadrathane™ and Quadraflex™ tubing using overmolding or solvent bonding processes.
