Biomerics offers the following standard ISO/ANSI/AAMI/ASTM tests validated in a GLP(Good Laboratory Practice) environment:

Test or Process Description Equipment ASTM Standard
Hardness (Shore A/D) Shore hardness is a measure of resistance of material to indentation by a durometer.  Check-Line HP Series Shore Durometers D2240
Tensile Strength (psi/MPa) A measure of the ability of a material to withstand a longitudinal stress, expressed as stress/strain curve and ultimate tensile at break. Testometric M350-5CT D412, D638
Elongation (%) The percentage a material stretches or elongates to fail or break Testometric M350-5CT D412, D638
Flexural Modulus (psi/MPa) A measure of the stiffness of a material. Testometric M350-5CT D790
Compression Set (%) The permanent deformation a sample has after being compressed a stated amount (%) at a specific temperature for a given amount of time and recovery period. Qualitest Compression Set Test Fixture
D395
Melt Flow Index A measure of the ease of flow of the melt of a thermoplastic polymer.  It is defined as the mass of polymer, in grams, flowing in ten minutes through a campilary of a specific diameter and length by a pressure applied via prescribed alternative gravimetric weights for alternative prescribed temperatures. TMI XNR-400 Series Melt Flow Indexer D1238
Specific Gravity The ratio of the density (mass of a unit volume) of a substance to the density (mass of the same unity volume) of a reference substance. Alfa Mirage Electronic Densimeter MD-3005 D792
Karl-Fischer Moister Analyzer  Coulometric KF determinations.
Aquastar AQC34
In-house
Reactant Titrations  Determines the concentrations of a solution. Used to determine the OH number and NCO content of polyols and isocyantes, respectively.
Mettler Toledo T50 EI899, D5155
Ash Testing The amount of ash remaining after burning at high temperatures.  Used for determining percentage content, such as percent barium in a material. Carbolite AAF 110 D5630
DSC A thermoanalytical technique in which the difference in the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a sample and reference is measured as a function of temperature.  Used to analyze melting and crystallization peaks, and glass transitions.  TA Instruments DSC Q20  TA Protocol
