Taper and Bump Tubes
Bump, taper, or draw down tubes vary in diameter over the length of the extrusion. These extrusions are commonly used when different functionality is required at the proximal and distal end of a catheter or device. Typically the smaller diameter is inserted into the body and larger diameter is connected to the device or machine.
The number and size of the bumps may vary over the length of an extrusion, and the inside and outside diameters can also vary relative to each other. Combined with multilayer and multi-lumen technologies, the potential number of configurations is endless. Bump tubes are commonly used in vascular access catheters, drainage catheters, endoscopy devices, dialysis, urology, and other medical device applications.
All tubes are manufactured to the highest quality standards in our ISO 13485:2003 registered white room. Tubes maybe purchased cut-to-length, coiled, and in protective packaging. We utilize the latest technologies in the areas of continuous in-line monitoring, optical measurement, water treatment, head design, screw design, and pull systems.
