Arun Mohan
Chief Executive Officer

Arun brings almost two decades of leadership experience driving growth, innovation and operational excellence within the global medical device industry. As CEO of Biomerics, he is responsible for the company’s strategic growth initiatives, global business operations and financial performance in the interventional CDMO space. His prior leadership roles at Cook Medical, Baxter Healthcare, Asensus Surgical (TransEnterix), Katena Products and Corza Medical reflect a proven track record in scaling global teams, advancing market development and building high-performing organizations. Arun holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Chris Richardson
Chief Commercial Officer and President, International Division

Chris focuses on developing customer relationships and aligning marketing strategies with the interventional marketplace to create customer value. He joined Biomerics in 2006 and held positions including director of engineering and director of business development before taking on his current role in 2024. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities and volunteers with community sports such as Little League Baseball. He also owns Lake Livingston Adventures, a fishing charter service in southeastern Texas.

Ben Harper
Chief Human Resources Officer

Ben has almost two decades of experience in human resources (HR), including over a decade as an HR professional in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. He has experience partnering with organizational leaders to streamline processes and provide an amazing employee experience that motivates, engages and retains top talent. Ben has a Bachelor of Arts in HR Management and an MBA, both from Utah State University. He also has a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation, among other certifications. Ben has been married for over 20 years and has four wonderful kids and a dog. In his free time, Ben enjoys smoking meat, riding his motorcycle and golfing.

Brenda Medine
Chief of Staff

Brenda brings over three decades of cross‑functional experience in the medical device manufacturing industry, spanning office management, human resources, supply chain oversight, accounts payable and receivable, staff development, and executive leadership support. She has played a meaningful role in Biomerics’ M&A activity and organic growth as the company grew from one location to a global medical device manufacturer. In her current role, Brenda assists with harmonizing priorities, supporting culture building and strengthening leadership alignment to ensure our operating mechanisms scale with our growth while keeping our values and culture in clear view. Brenda’s passion for interior design influences design elements across the company.

Bill Tarajos
President, Plastics Division

Bill is an experienced and results-driven operations executive with expertise in product development and in managing quality and compliance in highly regulated environments. With over 20 years of experience in medical device and component manufacturing, he specializes in using lean methodologies to drive operational excellence and cost savings. Bill has a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Gannon University.

Tyler Reed
President, Micro Metals Division

Tyler is a process-driven and culture-focused leader with over 20 years of experience in manufacturing operations. He specializes in executing global lean manufacturing transformations and creating systems that accelerate continuous improvement. He works cross-functionally with other leaders to drive continuous process improvement as well as company-wide culture change. Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with a minor in business management, from Purdue University and an MBA from UNC. Tyler is a Six Sigma black belt. In his free time, Tyler enjoys traveling, cooking, fitness and spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Scott Larson
SVP of New Product Development

Scott is a seasoned technical leader with more than 30 years of experience across R&D, operations and program management. Passionate about innovation, customer focus, flawless execution and product development, he has held leadership roles at Boston Scientific, Olympus, TE/Creganna and Dupont/Spectrum Plastics. As Senior Vice President of New Product Development, Scott is responsible for further building the NPD business at Biomerics. He is committed to partnering with customers to develop and launch their new products. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

Jake Wakley
VP of Quality & Regulatory

Jake oversees all aspects of the quality and regulatory systems and process. He has more than 20 years of experience in process and quality engineering, operations management, and quality management. Previously, he held key positions at Compeq International, BD Medical and Edwards Lifesciences. Jake has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah. He is also a certified Six Sigma green belt.

Darin Griffin
VP of Supply Chain

Darin is an experienced supply chain executive with a demonstrated history of building and improving supply chain operations across multiple industries. He has had numerous supply chain leadership roles throughout his career, including most recently at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Darin skillfully leads planning and execution, with a proven record of using Six Sigma and lean principles to reduce costs and improve service to customers. He promotes a culture of continuous improvement, constantly working to align supply chain operations with overall business goals. Darin has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Brian Curtis
General Manager — Salt Lake City, UT, Facility

Brian joined Biomerics in 2017 and has held various roles in engineering and operations including product design and development, project management, manufacturing engineering, materials management, and operations management. Most of his career has been dedicated to manufacturing high-quality medical devices through the development, operation, and improvement of automated assembly lines. Brian has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Utah State University and a Certificate of Medical Sciences from the University of Washington.

Chad Kim
General Manager — Brooklyn Park, MN, Facility

Chad joined Biomerics in 2023, bringing over 30 years of operations and supply chain management experience, including 15 years in the medical device industry. During his career, he has held senior leadership roles in various functions, including continuous improvement, supply chain and operations. Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in business management, a Lean Six Sigma black belt and a Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation. Outside of work, Chad’s greatest enjoyment is spending time as an empty nester with his wife, their three dogs and their cat.

Anthony Amador
General Manager — Cartago, CR, Facility

Anthony brings more than 20 years of medical device industry experience to his role overseeing operations for Biomerics’ Cartago, Costa Rica, facility. Before joining Biomerics in 2014, he held Director of Quality positions at ArthroCare, Vention Medical, and Source One Technologies. He has a degree in industrial engineering from the Fidélitas University in Costa Rica.

Jason McCash
General Manager — Santa Clara, CA, Facility

Jason has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including owning and operating McCash Manufacturing and Berg Manufacturing Inc., which was acquired by Biomerics in 2021. He partners with organizational leaders to streamline micro metals machining processes, ensuring these processes are customer centric, automated and scalable. Jason has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Sacramento. He has lived in the Bay Area of California for over 50 years and has two sons and a daughter. In his free time, Jason enjoys fishing, golfing, skiing, boating and spending time in Costa Rica.

Tera Laken
General Manager — Winston-Salem, NC, Facility

Tera started her career in finance and has experience across several other business functions, such as supply chain and operations. She has studied various disciplines, including economics and accounting, and has an MBA from the University of Sioux Falls. Tera also holds the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation, which reflects her expertise in supply chain strategy, operations and process optimization. In her free time, Tera enjoys spending time with her wife and daughter, trying new cuisines, and doing DIY projects around the house. She also loves listening to audiobooks and enjoys exercising while bingeing new TV series.

Dave Hornak
General Manager — Metals in CT & VA

Dave has over 20 years of experience managing engineering teams, with a focus on project development, quality and product design. Dave has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and materials engineering from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in management engineering from the University of Bridgeport.
