Liquid Resin Casting

Page/Post Excerpt
Complete liquid resin casting solutions
We are pleased to offer liquid resin casting as part of our complete molding solutions for your interventional medical device components. Liquid resin casting gives you the advantages of comparatively inexpensive tooling, short lead times for tooling and parts, and design flexibility. This enables us to manufacture highly complex parts with specialized performance characteristics difficult for other technologies to duplicate.
Interventional Medical Plastics Center of Excellence: Liquid resin casting
Our vertically integrated Center of Excellence for Interventional Medical Plastics brings together the latest technology, highly experienced engineers, and a broad range of capabilities to deliver best-in-class resin casting solutions. As a full-service molding contract manufacturer, we can partner with you at every step, from designing a new part to manufacturing, including:
Liquid resin casting division: Fast facts
Enclosure & component molding for a wide range of medical applications
With new developments in materials and process controls, liquid resin casting lends itself to many demanding medical applications, such as medical devices and medical imaging.
Difficult geometries
We use liquid resin casting to manufacture parts with difficult geometries that other molding techniques are unable to achieve. For example, unlike molding or machining, liquid resin casting can occur under mild processing conditions that allow us to encapsulate hardware or delicate components directly into the final or near-net shape required. This type of tooling is also well suited for overmolding and undercuts.
Rigid & elastomeric materials
We provide a huge variety of rigid and elastomeric materials with the precise characteristics you require for your application. All materials are FDA and Underwriters Laboratories (UL Solutions) approved. We provide biocompatible materials when appropriate for your interventional devices.
Complete tooling & design services
Liquid cast resin molding is less expensive than injection molding because it requires simpler tooling to create the component. We can also convert existing machined parts to more cost-effective cast resin parts. Whatever your application, we ensure that tool builds conform to our high standards. Our tooling and design services include:
